All of her professional experience has been related to libraries and library development and modernization. She previously worked at Sofia Metropolitan Library, where from 2008 to 2014 she was Deputy Director of Library Activities and Automation. She is a specialist in American library practices and is part of the International Group for Innovations in Public Libraries (INELI), a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation initiative.<br \/>\nSpaska is a member of the Standing Committee of the Public Libraries section of IFLA, The International Federation of Library Associations. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian Library and Information Association, and is on the editorial board of the BBIA Online magazine.<br \/>\nSpaska was a lead creator behind the successful \u201cFun Summer Reading\u201d children\u2019s reading campaign, an active participant in the \u201cRead With Me\u201d campaign sponsored by the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, and the initiator of the early childhood development rooms in Sofia City Libraries, in partnership with IKEA Bulgaria.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30313 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/glbulgaria.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/semih-solmaz-eavi.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"196\" height=\"196\" \/>semih solmaz<\/h6>\n<p>Project and Development Manager at\u00a0<a role=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/eavi.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EAVI<\/a>. Semih graduated Salutatorian from the Department of English Language and Literature at Bilkent University with a minor in Analytic Philosophy. He holds a master\u2019s degree with honours from KU Leuven\u2019s Department of European Studies: Transnational and Global Perspectives, where he specialised in European Cultural and Media Policies. Prior to joining EAVI, Semih worked as a communications assistant for the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation. He is a native Turkish speaker, fluent in English, and currently learning French.<br \/>\nAt EAVI, Semih is responsible for the daily operations and coordination, including activities related to projects, development, communications, research, and writing. He manages a number of Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, and CERV projects for EAVI, including Information Matters, Teachers 4.0 Digital Age, E-engAGEd, and What-If. Moreover, Semih continuously produces audiovisual and written materials on various media literacy topics for the empowerment of digital citizenship in Europe. He also functions as an assistant coordinator of the European Festival of Journalism and Media Literacy, Voices. Semih is mostly interested in critical media and information literacy, culture and social media, artificial intelligence, disinformation, and digital well-being. Silviu\u00a0is a trainer in non-formal education and a Conflict &amp; Peace Coach, area in which he works for 8 years with the mission of supporting people in their growth, empowering them to get a better outcome in their lives. His background is coming from a Masters Degree in Conflict Management and several years of trainings in the topic of community engagement, personal development, entrepreneurship, Erasmus+ and other trainings, he enjoys working with people and supporting them in achieving a better view of themselves and of the world.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30319 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/glbulgaria.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/helmut.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"195\" height=\"200\" \/>helmut kronika<\/h6>\n<p>Helmut is Managing Director of\u00a0<a role=\"link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.best.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BEST,<\/a>\u00a0one of the main private adult education providers in Austria, and board member of the Austrian Adult Education Association, has been working in adult education for more than 30 years. Professionally, Ana is a lawyer working in the field of copyright, as well as an industrial property representative before the Bulgarian Patent Office and the EU Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). Since the beginning of the year, she has also been a member of the Coordinating Group of the Copyright Community of Europeana.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30092 alignleft\" style=\"font-size: 9.648px;font-weight: bold\" src=\"https:\/\/glbulgaria.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/iglika-ivanova.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"198\" height=\"198\" \/><\/p>\n<h6>\u00a0iglika ivanova<\/h6>\n<p>Iglika is a state expert in the \u201cInternational Cooperation, European Programs and Regional Activities\u201d Directorate of the Ministry of Culture,<\/p>\n<p>a doctoral candidate in the \u201cMedia Policy and Law of the EU\u201d and a lecturer at Sofia University. Since 2019, she has been involved in the development of projects and programs in the field of formal and informal education in Bulgaria, organizing campaigns and public forums with wide participation on topics related to media literacy, both nationally and internationally, developing educational resources, conducting trainings for teachers, research in the field of media and information literacy and digital skills. In 2022, she became a member of the Board of the Coalition for Media Literacy and a founding member of the Prof. Renee Hobbs Media Education Lab in Rhode Island, USA. One of the directors is at the global conference MediaEd Forum in its 2023 and 2024 editions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30332 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/glbulgaria.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/unnamed.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"222\" \/>kristina vladimirova<\/h6>\n<p>Librarian since 2.5 years in RL \u201cN. Furnadzhiev\u201d \u2013 Pazardzhik. She previously worked in the commercial sector in the field of marketing. Kristina has a Master\u2019s degree in \u201cLibrary, Information and Cultural Management\u201d at UniBIT (2023) and in \u201cBusiness Administration\u201d at VTU \u201cSt. St. Cyril and Methodius\u201d (2015). In 2021, she decided to retrain and won a 4-year scholarship to study online at the University of California, where she will graduate next year with a degree in Computer Science. Conducts training courses in computer and information literacy, digital marketing, English language, etc. Her research work is focused on Economics and Organizational Management, HR, Marketing, SEO and AI. She is the author of several articles related to human capital in and out of libraries and does English translations of articles for the website \u201cAcademy for Parents\u201d. Over the years, she has participated in 6 projects, some through GLBF \u2013 among them is \u201cInformation matters\u201d. She is a member of the Association \u201cSupport BG\u201d \u2013 Sofia and is a volunteer in the Marketing department of the same. Kristina actively participates in various technological conferences and seminars, where she exchanges experience and knowledge with colleagues from the industry. She attends the \u201ceCommerce Annual Summit\u201d conferences in Sofia every year at the invitation of the organizers from \u201cEnterprise\u201d magazine.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30333 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/glbulgaria.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/snimka.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"207\" height=\"278\" \/>lubomira parijkova<\/h6>\n<p>Lubomira Parijkova is Associate Professor at the University of Library Studies and Information Technology. She has a master\u2019s degree in philosophy. Her disciplines are bibliography, rhetoric, new forms of knowledge management. She is an Erasmus lecturer. She is the head of a project financed by the \u201cScientific Research\u201d Fund \u2013 \u201cNew policies to stimulate reading. Study of bookcrossing practices in Bulgaria\u201d, as well as numerous university projects.<br \/>\nAssoc. Prof. Lubomira Parijkova researches reading, ways to stimulate it, media and digital literacy in numerous publications. Hers is the initiative to celebrate the International Book and Copyright Day at the University of Library Studies and Information Technology since 2011. It was her idea that UniBIT presents the Homo legens awards. Organizer of conferences, essay and poster contests, curator of exhibitions, readings for children and students. Since 2019, she has been the main organizer of the UniBIT conference dedicated to the Day of People\u2019s Awakeners.<br \/>\nShe is the author of two monographs, 3 teaching aids, over 160 publications in Bulgarian and foreign magazines. Compiler and editor of scientific collections, 5 books. Deputy editor-in-chief of the scientific journal \u201cIzdatel\u201d. She is the director of the documentary film about her father Petar (2012) and the author of the documentary film \u201cThe Book \u2013 Our More Meaningful Present\u201d (2015). In 2013, the Student Council at UniBIT chose her as Teacher of the Year, and in 2014 \u2013 as Creator of the Year. Married, with three children.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30334 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/glbulgaria.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/20240927_151609-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"219\" height=\"164\" \/>mima kontaki<\/h6>\n<p>From 2004 to 2011 she lived in Athens, Greece, after which she returned to her native village of Botevo, Tundzha, region Yambol. In 2013 Mima began working at the \u201cHr. Botev-1928\u201d Chitalishte as a secretary to continue, preserve and transmit to the generations, the traditions and customs of her birthplace. In 2017 she passed a course for acquiring the third degree of professional qualification in the profession \u201cLibrarian\u201d, conducted at UniBIT. In the fall of 2018 she enrolled in the Bachelor\u2019s program at UniBIT, majoring in \u201cLibrary and Information Management\u201d and graduated with honors.<br \/>\nOver the years, Mima has taken a number of courses to increase her professional knowledge and skills, including: online course \u201cImproving the digital skills and competences of librarians in Europe \u2013 BIBLIO\u201d, \u201cPractitioner Social Innovations\u201d, an online course within the Erasmus+ project, \u201d Digitization, Digital Restoration and Presentation of Old Photographs\u201d, Digital and Media Literacy Trainer Course for Seniors 55+.\u00a0 During the academic year 2023-2024 she is an external trainer at the local school and conducts activities based on interests, trains children in applied arts in the \u201cWorkshop for Miracles\u201d circle she founded, leads a singing, caroling and lazar group. Manages, organizes, maintains the library fund in the library at the community center, gainer support from the Ministry of Culture\u00a0 for the project \u201cBulgarian libraries \u2013 modern centers for reading and information\u201d for four years in a row. All this time, while learning and developing her knowledge, she does her work with desire and passion, and according to her husband, the most difficult part of her training is learning to make Greek moussaka.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30335 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/glbulgaria.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/snimka-sisi.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"232\" height=\"233\" \/>silviya tsvetkova \u2013 gadzhalova<\/h6>\n<p>In 2016, Silvia graduated with a bachelor\u2019s degree in \u201cEthnology\u201d, and then in 2020, a master\u2019s degree in \u201cPreschool and primary school pedagogy\u201d at the Paisii Hilendarski Polytechnic. In 2019, she started working at the community center \u201cIvan Vazov \u2013 1931\u201d in Komatevo quarter (city of Plovdiv) as a secretary, and at that time she was taking a librarian course at the UniBIT.<br \/>\nSince April 2023, she has been a Methodist at the RL \u201cIvan Vazov\u201d in Plovdiv, involved in various trainings for librarians from the Plovdiv region. She is the chairman of the Territorial Section of BBIA for the city of Plovdiv.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30339 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/glbulgaria.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/gergana-hristcheva-1080px.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"231\" height=\"231\" \/>gergana hrischeva<\/h6>\n<p>Journalist from the Bulgarian National Radio, currently senior editor in the \u201cInternet Portal\u201d Directorate of the BNR. She graduated from the Library College with a major in \u201cLibrary Science and Bibliography\u201d, and then from Sofia University \u201cSt. Kliment Ohridski\u201d \u2013 Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communications, majoring in \u201cCulture\u201d, profile \u2013 \u201cRadio\u201d. She worked in the periodical press, radio and television, won a competition on the French television TV 5 even as a student on the topic \u2013 \u201cDonation in Bulgaria\u201d. She has been a journalist in the BNR for 24 years, most of them as a health reporter in the Horizon program.<br \/>\nGergana is the winner of dozens of awards in the field of health care and the media, among which the Patient Organizations \u201cTogether with You\u201d, the Association of Parents of Children with Epilepsy, the Bulgarian Medical Union, the Metropolitan Medical College, the Grand Prize of the BRC for overall contribution, and others. In 2023, she was awarded in the contest \u201cFor clean journalism Web Report\u201d on the internet portal Dir.bg in the Podcast category \u2013 the award is for her author\u2019s podcast \u201cAt the center of the system\u201d, for the episode \u201cTransplanted for transplants: The state abdicates!\u201d.<br \/>\nGergana is the author of four podcasts on the BNR website \u2013 \u201cCovid Vaccines\u201d, \u201cHealth, Science, Innovation\u201d, \u201cSkin and Sun\u201d and \u201cAt the Center of the System\u201d. She has as well published three collections of author\u2019s poems \u2013 \u201cRoad and Temple\u201d, \u201cBlinks of Blades\u201d and \u201cSunset\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30340 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/glbulgaria.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/justine-toms.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"232\" height=\"232\" \/>justine toms<\/h6>\n<p>Justine Toms was born in Sofia, a Bulgarian from Armenian origin. She has Master degrees from Sofia University in Pedagogy, French philology and Philosophy. Justine is among the pioneers of the Bulgarian Internet \u2013 expert in online communication, creator of multiple websites and two web contests.
