Partner organizations meet in Sofia

After completing an introductory stage of working on INFORMATION MATTERS strategic implementation, starting April 2023 the partner organizations involved on the project enter together into a more intense work phase. It is related to the elaboration of both the educational content for users, and the core construction of the training programme for adult educators.
To go there, partners met in Sofia within the scope of two days. Their meeting was dedicated mainly to figuring out the up-to-date needs of the adults 55+, related to digital and media literacy. Linking those needs to current good practices of adult education, 10 base modules were drawn up to frame the programme development ahead.
They are:

  • Media Literacy Concepts & Theory
  • Media Literacy for Seniors
  • Media Literacy and Technology
  • Hardware & Software
  • Media Literacy Digital Well-being
  • Media Literacy and Digital Services
  • Platforms
  • Disinformation
  • Privacy
  • Civic Engagement
Following the above listed themes, by the end of 2023 experts from Bulgaria, Austria and Romania are going to work on the completion of a set of Learning Materials and a comprehensive Training programme for trainers. On their turn, the adult trainers will educate elderly people in all of the three countries, starting mid-2024.
